If you are one of his patients, you will receive a letter in the mail.
As of March 16, 2023, you are encouraged to register on the waiting list for the Quebec Family Doctor Finder.
You can do so by email at the following address https://www.quebec.ca/en/health/finding-a-resource/quebec-family-doctor-finder or by phone at 1 888 441-4748 for Monteregie-East or by obtaining the counter number for your place of residence available at the following address https://sante.gouv.qc.ca/en/votre-gaco/.
Your registration is important because it will give you access to health care and services through the front-line access window (GAP) while waiting for a new family doctor.
To obtain assistance in registering at the counter or to obtain an appointment with a doctor or another professional, you must then dial 811 extension 3.
Your medical file will remain available at the Medical Clinic Le Sentier. A copy of your file may be sent to your new family doctor with your consent.
Finally, the examinations (blood test, imaging, etc.) done or planned before Dr. Mercier’s departure will be taken care of by the team at Medical Clinic Le Sentier, so you will be contacted in the event of an abnormal result.
